BIBLE REFLECTION

Matthew 6:31-34

“So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’

‘What shall we drink?’

‘What shall we wear?’

For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Why is it foolish to worry?

    MEDITATION:

In spite of all my complaining, one of my greatest joys… while I took care of my parents was the belief that God was pleased with my commitment. I felt His presence and knew He was providing me with the wisdom, money, and assistance to continue in this work.

Each day is a new chance to walk confidently with the Lord. When you are taking care of someone with love in your heart, God is pleased. With Him on your side there is nothing you can’t accomplish as a caregiver. No matter what worry comes along, you will be more than able to handle it.

    YOUR JOURNAL

Pray by writing a letter, asking God to handle your most troubling worry or fear. Then rest in the knowledge He will guide you.

    TODAY’S PRAYER:

Lord Jesus, some days I am just so bogged down with worries, but I have a hard time letting go. Teach me how to relax, do what is right, and trust you to provide me with what I need as a caregiver each day.
